Villandry - Great Portland Street, London
Project: Villandry
Location: Great Portland Street, London
Type: Restoration of enriched ceilings, cornice and mouldings
Description: Villandry Restaurant is located in a stunning Grade II listed building originally built a century ago in 1914. Designed by Stiff & Trevillion Architects and William Nickerson Interiors, the theme centres on the 19th Century Parisian Grand Café. Original listed elements have been carefully retained and refurbished – the ornate fibrous plaster ceiling, the wrought iron balustrade and the marble staircase.
Keaneys Ltd restored the enriched ceilings, installed new cornice for an exquisite finish and took impressions of the existing cornice and replicated it at our workshop and installed on site.
